Actor files to end marriage

When someone determines that divorce is necessary, they may face a variety of challenges. After all, from emotional issues to legal matters such as property division and child custody, separation can be incredibly difficult for people in Scranton and throughout Pennsylvania. That said, there are ways that people can simplify the divorce process, such as closely reviewing their situation and figuring out the best path forward. When it comes to filing for divorce, people should do everything they can to make separation easier.

Known for his appearances on The Mary Tyler Moore Show, actor Ed Asner recently filed to end the marriage with his wife eight years after he separated from her. The couple, who was married in 1998, separated nine years after they tied the knot, although a divorce was never filed.

The actor also appeared in the news in 2008 when he tried to cut his wife off from temporary spousal support. Afterwards, media coverage concerning the couple died down and some assumed that a reconciliation had taken place. However, the actor has now officially filed for divorce and according to documents that were obtained, a financial settlement was reached by the couple in 2009.

From a custody dispute to disagreements regarding the distribution of marital assets, there are a number of difficulties that some people who are in this position face. Fortunately, many people are able to successfully work towards a positive outcome by taking the right steps. For some, this may include reaching out to a knowledgeable legal professional and discussing the details of their case.
